Pay Rent

Upick2Rent accepts a number of payment methods. Our preferred payment methods are electronic payments as they give instant feedback and proof to tenants that their payment has been processed without relying on physical mail or human interaction. Google Pay and PayPal both have options to send money from linked bank accounts that will not result in any fees occurred by Upick2Rent. Below are examples of how to use these services:

PayPal Friends and Family

  1. Create a PayPal.com account if you do not have one and log in.
  2. Link your bank account if you have not done so already (please note, you may have to link a credit or debit card as a backup payment method).
  3. Click on the “Money” link at the top of the page.
  4. Click “Send or Request Money” on the left side of the page.
  5. Click “Send to Friends or Family” on the right side of the page.
  6. Enter the email address info@upick2rent.com and click next.
  7. Enter the amount of your rent and include your rent address in the Note field.  Click continue.
  8. Select your linked bank account that you would like to make the payment from and click continue. Note: It should show that there is no fee associated with the payment.
  9. Review the payment and then hit the button “Send Payments Now”.

You will receive confirmation of your payment at the email address associated with your PayPal account. Please retain this as proof of payment for your rent.

In the event that you select other options, or choose a payment method such as a credit card that causes Upick2Rent to be charged processing fees, the 4 percent Upick2Rent credit card fee will be deducted from your rent payment and your rent will be considered not paid in full until the fees are reimbursed.

Google Pay

Please note, you must have a Google account to use Google Pay.

  1. Open gmail.com and log in if you are not already logged in.
  2. Click the compose button to start a new email.
  3. Address the email to info@upick2rent.com
  4. Add your rental address to the subject line
  5. Click the “$” icon located near where you would typically click to attach a file
  6. Make sure the “Send Money” link is active and type in the amount of your rent.
  7. Underneath the amount of the money is the payment source. Change if necessary and Link your bank account if it is not already linked. Select your bank account to ensure there are not any fees for the transfer.
  8. Click attach money.
  9. Send the email.

In the event that you select other options, or choose a payment method such as a credit card that causes Upick2Rent to be charged processing fees, the 4 percent Upick2Rent credit card fee will be deducted from your rent payment and your rent will be considered not paid in full until the fees are reimbursed.

Additional Payment Options

Automated Clearing House (ACH): ACH transactions can be set up through www.cozy.co. If you are interested in this method of payment, please contact our office and we will assist you in getting setup.

Check: Please mail your check to P.O. Box 2264, Lancaster OH 43130 or arrange with our Office Staff to coordinate a location and time when the check can be dropped off. Please keep your cancelled check or copy of your check that comes with your bank statement as proof of payment. While our staff will do their best to be available on short notice to facilitate dropping off a check, Office Staff reserves the right to require at least one business day for coordination of receiving the check.

Credit Card: Both Google Pay and PayPal allow for credit cards to be used. Upick2Rent charges a flat 4% fee for credit cards processed. If you process your credit card over the phone or at our location, there will be an additional 10 dollar convenience fee added to cover the time of our staff to assist you. Please consider the line item on your credit card as proof of payment.

Deposit at Bank: Upick2Rent can provide you with deposit slips that will allow you to take your payment directly to the bank. If using this option with a check, please write “For deposit only” on the endorsement line on the back of the check and write your address on the deposit slip itself. It is also advised that you send an email or create a ticket notifying Upick2Rent that you have completed this action to avoid any confusion.

Cash: We do not directly accept cash payments. Cash can be deposited directly at the bank during banking business hours.
